Robot vision systems

Presentation

A system which combines a robot together with some sort of camera hardware to improve the guidance of a robot and its capabilities. Regular robot systems are blind and so are restricted in their operation which makes them an insufficient solution for more complex problems. Typical robot vision system applications are:

• Part localization for pick & place applications
• Object recognition for sorting applications
• Determining part or product orientation for robot packaging
