Surface and porosity inspection of motor housing
System consists of robot and measuring stations that inspect surface imperfections and porosity of cast objects Motor housing is picked up from conveyer by robot and placed on turning table. The surface is inspected by multiple cameras, dedicated to single part of the motor housing. By turning the table we scan and compile the picture of the surface. We use an algorithm to detect mistakes according to size, position and length between them. After scan from inside the motor housing is moved to second turning table where the inspection is done on outside surfaces. If the motor housing surfaces are ok the part is marked and put on conveyor for good parts, otherwise the part is put on other conveyor.
Optical resolution is 0.01 mm.
