System for shaft length and curvature control
A big telecentric lens camera attached above the conveyor is continuously sending images to computer, which enables calculating of the shaft position on the conveyor. Whenever the shaft appears in the middle of the field of view, an image is saved to memory for further processing. At the same time a signal is triggered and the second camera takes a shot. When images from both cameras are saved in the main memory, they get processed and data is being saved to a hard drive. If measurement of the shaft is inside the preset tolerance level, the computer sends a signal to the valve, which blows away the appropriate shafts, while the non-appropriate shafts continue down the conveyor. Valve sensor counts the number of blown away shafts.
